The Transport Engineering Laboratory (TEL) of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) is a multidisciplinary research group that focus on transport related issues. The Laboratory aims at promoting applied research and new methodologies in the field of transport. AUTh co-operates with various Greek and foreign organisations in studies and research projects in Greece and abroad.

The Laboratory has been established in 1977 within the framework of the Civil Engineering Department (CED) of the University, but it started full operation in January 1980 when sufficient stuffing and resources where secured. It consists of scientific personnel and infrastructure and is under the supervision of the CED and the University's Scientific Research Committee.
